Rosebud & White Mule Winery
Spend the day in the Highlands of Missouri Wine Country, letting Wine Country Wagon Rides transport you between Rosebud and White Mule Winery for a memorable excursion filled with antiquing, wine tasting, dining and relaxing rides through the country.
The historic railroad town of Rosebud boasts many antique stores within walking distance. We recommend you allow a couple hours before your ride to browse and shop (or after your ride if departing in the morning).
Your horse-drawn wagon excursion departs from the restaurant of your choice (where you'll return for dinner after your ride) and takes you for a scenic ride along country backroads of Gasconade County to the White Mule Winery. Prior to being settled by German immigrants in the 1800s, this land was Osage Indian territory. We'll talk a little history along the way but also give you time to relax and visit with your fellow travelers. Snacks and beverages are welcome on the ride.
While at White Mule Winery, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and tour of the vineyard. This charming winery situated on a farm was once the site of the old Charlotte post office. Wine and beer purchases can be made directly from the winery and enjoyed on your wagon ride.
When we head back to Rosebud, keep an eye out for the white mules grazing in the field. Other wildlife, such as deer and turkey, may be spotted along the way. The entire round trip is about 10 miles.
