Hermann Carriage Rides

While listening to the clip-clop of the horses, you can imagine what life was like before the age of the automobile and how challenging it must have been for settlers to carve a living from this rocky wilderness.

Mansions of Hermann Carriage Tour
Hermann has mansions? Indeed it does! At least, they were considered such at the time they were built, and they continue to catch our fancy today. Your horse-drawn carriage tour starts downtown where Hermann's oldest homes are situated. The carriage ride continues across town to the mansions and stately homes of prominent Hermann figures such as George Stark and Michael Poeschel. Other sites along the way include Hermann's famous Rotunda building and a 139-year-old bandstand in the city park.
