Downtown Washington Rides
Downtown Washington boasts one of the most beautiful riverfront districts along the Missouri River. Horse-drawn carriage and wagon rides feature guided tours of the historic downtown area and its beautifully preserved businesses and homes. Two options available (see below).
All rides take approximately 30-40 minutes and depart from the corner of Elm and Main streets (unless otherwise noted) during select dates in April, May, September and October. View calendar for availability and reservations. Space is limited so reservations are strongly suggested.
Price: $25 per person; 10 per child age 4-12 and free for children 3 and under (may need to ride on lap). Refer to schedule for maximum capacity.
Haunted History Ride
This horse-drawn wagon tour of downtown Washington features some of its most well known historic sites and the hauntings surrounding them. Your guide Lady Elizabeth will tell about the bizarre accidents and strange murders of the past, as well as more recent paranormal activity. She also fills you in on Washington's normal history and how downtown has changed over the years.
Parental discretion advised: There are no terrifying theatrics or special effects involved, however descriptions of incidences may contain details not appropriate for young minds.
Historic Homes Ride
If you prefer a ride on the "normal side," our guide can omit the ghost stories and focus on the history of Washington's homes and prominent people of the past. Rides offered during same dates as Haunted History Wagon Rides and for the same length and price. Please select tour type when you make a reservation.
Note: Browse the calendar for dates rides are offered. Click the date to view available ride times. If the ride type does not appear as a booking option, it is no longer available at that particular time.
